Check-in & Check-out 1. Check-in is from 3:00pm and check-out is by 10:00am unless otherwise agreed. 2. Early check-ins or late check-outs may be possible depending on availability and may incur additional charges at the host’s discretion. Respect for Neighbours & Community 3. Please respect the privacy and peace of our neighbours. Unreasonable noise or behaviour may result in a warning, and if ignored, cancellation of the booking without refund. 4. This is a residential property only. Large events, functions, parties, and gatherings are strictly prohibited. Breaches will result in immediate cancellation without refund. We do not accept schoolies bookings. Smoking & Pets 5. Smoking is not permitted inside the home. Breaches will incur a minimum $300 fine plus potential liability for lost future bookings. Smoking is allowed outdoors only, and guests must dispose of cigarette butts responsibly. 6. No pets are permitted under any circumstances. Bringing a pet will result in a $500 cleaning fee. Guest Numbers & Visitors 7. The house accommodates a maximum of 8 guests, including children. Guest numbers must match your booking. 8. No unregistered or unpaid overnight guests are allowed. Extra guests may result in cancellation without refund. Cleaning & Waste 9. Guests are expected to leave the property tidy. This includes: washing and putting away dishes, wiping out ovens and microwaves, removing food from fridges, and placing rubbish in the correct bins. Extra cleaning fees (minimum $100) may apply if the property is not left in reasonable condition. 10. Excess rubbish removal may incur a minimum $100 fee if waste is beyond what is expected for the length of stay and number of guests. Utilities & Energy Use 11. Please turn off lights, appliances, and heating/AC when not in use and upon departure. Guests may be charged for excess power if units are left running. 12. Apollo Bay/Marengo can experience power outages due to a limited grid. Portable heaters on high settings may trip the power. Please pack warm clothing in winter and use energy responsibly. General Use & Safety 13. Outdoor security cameras monitor the property perimeter for guest and property safety. 14. Linen (sheets, towels, quilts, pillowcases, tea towels, and quilt covers) is provided. Beds are made on arrival (excluding bunks). 15. The host cannot be held responsible for outages or failures of utilities and services (electricity, water, Wi-Fi) that are beyond our control. 16. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided, but speeds and reliability vary in this rural area. While we do our best to keep it working, outages may occur, and no compensation will be provided.

Here are a few helpful tips from past guest questions: 🔥 BBQ – There’s no BBQ on-site (they don’t last in the sea air), but you’ll find clean public stainless steel BBQs in Apollo Bay. ☕ Coffee – The coffee machine takes whole beans. We provide a standard blend, but feel free to bring your favourite roast. 🛁 Towels – Bathroom towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels for seaside days. 🦜 Birds – You’ll see plenty of parrots and native birds around! They may eat from your hand, but only sunflower seeds (not sold locally, so bring some if you’d like to feed them). Please don’t feed them anything else. 🪜 Stairs – The house has multiple levels and isn’t suitable for guests with mobility issues. 🚿 Bathroom – There are two showers but no bathtub or spa.
